Who did the barrel for your Axis barrel if you don't mind me asking?
I cut off the chamber, left me with 20 inches barrel length, threaded the chamber end 1 inch -16, bored and threaded a piece of 2 inch 4130 steel, screwed in the barrel with an epoxy compound. Turned and threaded the sleeve to fit the Savage receiver, chambered 22 TCM, re crowned the muzzle and test fired.
After a bit of load development, it now shoots .340" at 50 yards, .480 @ 100 yd.
