#12262 Just a suggestion on stuck cases that seems we all have had the pleasure of having. Home Depot sells some solid metal rods in various lengths and sizes which will keep you from damaging your cleaning rods. I bought a 3/16th in. and a 1/4 in x 3' for the TCM and AR 308 when I get stuck cases. You can cut them to whatever length you would like. Had a stuck case in the TCM rifle the other day and a couple of taps with the rod and it popped right out.

#12270 I messed up 1 section of cleaning rod. Now I usually take the barrel out and give it a twist-pull with my pliers.

#12299 I would suggest buying your rods in brass. Not going to push metal (steel?) in my barrels.
I would even rather ruin a cleaning rod than a good barrel. ouch

Yeah, that's why I skip the rod step entirely and go with my trusty pliers. Have to be careful using brass rods, excessive or repeated use could mushroom the end to the point where it could also get stuck.

#12318 I understand what you are saying, but I doubt that no more than I have to use the steel rod that it is going to hurt any barrel.
