We're gonna put some lipstick on the pig. I dropped the Black Label off at the smith for some cocking serrations on the forward end of the slide to match the ones on the rear. It's a four week turn around. Then after that it's getting a low polish blue on the sides of the slide and blast matte blue on top like a 1970's Colt 1911A1
The frame is getting the same style and scheme as the slide but in Ceracote because space age plastic polymer don't blue. These gun blue looking finishes Ceracote has now fooled a couple people right before by eyes so if the frame and slide don't match exactly I'm o.k. with that.
The guys were like Wutt !?!? are you NUTS !?!? It's a P--p-polymer framed and a .380 !!! I told them " take in back and shoot it". They came back with a smile and OK I get it now then wrote up the work order.
While I'm waiting for the work to get done I'll be looking around for some tritium or fiber optic sights to my liking and ordering some nice looking checkered walnut grips I found on line.
One of the guys ordered himself a Baby Rock last week. We plan to go shoot them together.
I can't wait.
